SEALED BID NOTICE DIESEL FUEL BID #12-08

Bids are requested from qualified Bidders to furnish Diesel Fuel, as described in CTTRANSIT's specifications. Forms, instructions, and specifications are available from the Purchasing Department of CTTRANSIT, P.O. Box 66/100 Leibert Road, Hartford, CT 06141-0066, by calling (860) 522-8101 ext. 301, or by sending a request via e-mail to bsheridan@cttransit.com. Sealed bids should be clearly marked "BID #12-08 Diesel Fuel Bid" and be sent to the attention of Bonnie Sheridan, Purchasing & Contracts Officer. Bids will be publicly opened and read at 10:00 a.m. on May 8, 2008 in the main conference room at the above address.

This procurement will provide for different purchasing methods, which include Bio-Diesel and Ultra Low Sulfur Kerosene for participating agencies during the period November 1, 2008 and ending October 31, 2009. Due to the volatility of the marketplace at this time the Bid has been structured to offer flexibility for its participating agencies while at the same time providing Bidders assurances against marketplace fluctuations from Bid opening to the actual point of Bid award. Two main methods will be offered for Bid with the ability for participating agencies to personalize the methods based on their individual needs. In order to maximize competition, Bidders are not required to Bid all methods, but are encouraged to Bid as many methods as they possibly can. Each participating agency will make its own awards and payments according to the terms and conditions set forth in these specifications. A written order from each awarding agency will be required before any deliveries commence.

Bidders that are not in the position to Bid on a method at the time of the Bid submittal are also provided an opportunity to reserve their future bidding rights for any re-pricing that may be called for under this procurement.

CTTRANSIT reserves the right to waive any informalities or variations in any bid that it deems to be immaterial, or to reject any or all, or any part of any or all bid if such action is deemed to be in the best interest of CTTRANSIT and/or the Department of Transportation of the State of Connecticut (ConnDOT).
